Dhanashree Verma responds to breakup rumors after changing her name


Youtuber-choreographer Dhanashree Verma made a new statement on Instagram denying breakup rumors about her relationship with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. This is the first time she has spoken out since causing a storm on the internet for removing her surname “Chahal” from her Instagram profile. Taking to Instagram Stories, she wrote: “A humble request to all of you not to believe any rumors pertaining to our relationship. Please stop this. Love and light to all.” Her statement comes after the cricketer shared the same thing on his Instagram handle.

After Dhanashree changed her name on Instagram, fans were quick to speculate about a potential rift between the two. Adding to the fire was Yuzvendra Chahal’s recent story, which mentioned starting a “new life.” The speculation also sparked a meme fest on Twitter.

Dhanashree and Yuzvendra tied the knot in December 2020. The couple can often be seen on each other’s social media posts. She also accompanies him during his cricket matches. Speaking about how the pair met and sparks immediately flew, Dhanashree told the Hindustan Times in 2020, “It started as a student-teacher relationship in April. He had seen my dance videos on YouTube and knew my work. During lockdown, Yuzi decided to learn a few new things, including how to dance. So he contacted me and we started our lessons. We slowly became friends and somehow felt connected.”
