CUET Result By September 15, UGC Asks Colleges To Keep Admissions Portal Ready


The National Testing Agency will release the result of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to undergraduate courses by September 15. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked participating higher education institutions to keep their web portals ready to start the undergraduate admissions process.

UGC Chairman M Jagdeesh said in a tweet: “The National Testing Agency should announce the CUET-UG results by September 15 or if possible even a few days earlier. All participating universities must keep their web portals ready to start the UG admissions process based on the CUET-UG score.

About 14,90,000 candidates had taken the exam in its first year. It is the second largest exam in India, second only to NEET which had over 18 lakh students registered.

The result of CUET-UG will be published on the NTA website. Students will be able to check their grades from, and Currently, the answer key for CUET UG exams is out. Students can raise objections until September 10. Once these objections have been studied, a final answer key will be published. The CUET result will be based on the final patch.

A merit list will be prepared by participating universities or organizations. Universities can conduct their individual counseling based on the CUET score. The record of the Common University Entrance Test CUET 2022 would be kept for up to 90 days from the date of declaration of the result.

In its first year, CUET received participation from no less than 86 universities. It includes some of the biggest names like University of Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Hamdard, TISS, BHU, Allahabad University among others. While universities like University of Calcutta, University of Jadavpur and University of Mumbai organize admissions through class 12 grades or their own entrance exam.
