The Make In India ambition in India has been given a further boost in the form of the Bharat Watch smartwatch which has been designed and manufactured by a startup called Agatsa in India. This company is credited for launching the smallest ECG in the world called SanketLife. Bharat Watch was developed in partnership with Goodify.
Apart from the Made in India label, Bharat Watch also claims to have professional-grade ECG technology that helps people detect their heart activities on the go. The company suggests that the market for affordable wearables is growing across the world and hopes to expand the reach of the products to the African market, among others. The company hasn’t shared full details about the smartwatch, but we expect to hear more in the coming weeks.

Agatsa mentioned that the Bharat watch will be manufactured at its Noida factory and Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) at Vizag. Agasta did not share pricing details for Bharat Watch, but he did confirm that the smartwatch will be available for pre-order from October 2. It is likely that Bharat Watch will go on sale online and offline in the country.
